Associate Dean for Collections

University of Southern California (USC) Libraries seeks a dynamic and forward thinking Associate Dean for Collections (#299) to provide leadership for the development and management of library collections in support of the University’s teaching and research programs. The Associate Dean for Collections participates as an active member of the Dean’s Cabinet. This position requires a firm grounding in the world of academic libraries and excellent communication skills, along with a professional reputation for strategic innovation in improving collection development.
The candidate must be an experienced, creative library professional with a proven track record for the development and management of library collections within the rapidly evolving environment of higher education.

The successful candidate is expected to work collegially across the university, be up-to-date on emerging library and scholarly information trends and practices, and be able to apply this knowledge in order to have a significant, positive impact on the USC community.
