The University of Baltimore seeks an innovative, enthusiastic, and experienced library administrator who can lead the reinvention of the library in a rapidly changing academic, urban, technological environment as Director of the Langsdale Library.
Responsibilities: leads the reinvention of the library in an environment of many collaborative opportunities; serves as the chief administrative officer for the library and reports directly to the Provost; integrates the library as a learning center into the teaching and research activities of the university; leads with broad oversight of all library services and staff; develops and administers a comprehensive budget. Required Qualifications include an MLS from an ALA-accredited institution and a minimum of nine years of increasingly responsible administrative experience in a library setting. Preferred Qualifications include a second advanced degree; evidence of ability to advocate within a complex organizational framework; and experience in strategic planning, assessment, and resource development.
