Director of Education & Outreach

Reporting to the Deputy Librarian of the College, the Director leads the Library's education programs by working closely with faculty, librarians, students and staff across the campus to identify and assess needs and develop, implement, and evaluate a program of system-wide training and instruction that teaches effective use and management of information resources and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a professional development program for library teaching staff, and will work closely with other campus initiatives supporting teaching and learning, such as the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning [DCAL], the Writing Program, Academic Computing, and the Academic Skills Center. The Director serves as a member of the executive team for DCAL.

REQUIREMENTS: a relevant graduate or professional degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience, including teaching in traditional and digital environments. Experience in curriculum design, familiarity with information literacy programs, demonstrated project management or team leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and service provision are required.
