LIBRARIAN – BRANCHES


REGULAR STAFF – LIBRARIAN – BRANCHES

Regular Staff – Fulltime – Multiple Openings

Locations will be determined after internal transfers are completed.


Librarian - Grade 14GA  Fulltime   37.5 hours/weekly
Salary Range:   $37,443 - $58,257

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Possession of a Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association-accredited program and a combination of experience and training that has provided the knowledge, abilities, and skills listed in the attached job description. In addition to the Master’s Degree, some experience in public libraries, knowledge of the Internet/Web, and supervisory experience preferred. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Programming, reference and readers’ advisory work with all ages; collection development; assisting branch manager in overall branch operations, including supervisory assignments.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Ability to secure certification as a Professional Public Librarian in the State of Maryland within 120 days following appointment; ability to meet re-certification requirements by completing 90 hours of training every 5 years.
