The Ocean County Library is seeking candidates for an Assistant Director of Public Services. This is a new position within the organization.
The ideal candidate is passionate about Public Libraries, possesses excellent communication skills and the proven ability to lead a team and work as part of a team. S/he is inclusive, collaborative and goal/future oriented.
This position provides leadership, direction and coordination for branch and headquarters services ensuring that the library has the widest possible reach into the community it serves.
The position requires a Masters in Library or Information Services, and a minimum of four years of professional librarian experience including work in the service, circulation and reference areas, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
