Reference Librarian – Social Sciences and Humanities

Social Science and Humanities Reference Librarian. Raymond H. Fogler Library, University of Maine, seeks social science and humanities reference librarian, duties include reference patron services, with some night and weekend hours; information literacy instruction; web work; and collection development.
 
Required:  ALA accredited MLS; working knowledge of traditional and electronic resources; reference experience, including work with e-reference tools; evidence of a strong commitment to service and research; experience with information literacy instruction; evidence of working in teams; excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:  Reference and collection development experience in an academic library.  Knowledge of research in anthropology and/or communication/journalism.   Demonstrated experience with Web and tutorial authorship.
