The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Libraries seeks innovative, collaborative, user-focused applicants for an Undergraduate Learning Librarian.
Reporting to the Head of Educational Initiatives, responsibilities include: serving as the Libraries’ central contact with academic departments and programs that support the student experience in the first two years; providing research and technology assistance through individual and small group consultations and online user support; helping to shape new directions for initiatives that support student learning and faculty development; actively participating in assessment to articulate the Libraries’ impact on student learning and to support continuous improvement of instructional programs and practices; teaching curriculum-integrated instruction sessions including those for first- and second-year programs and other targeted courses in the campus undergraduate curriculum; supporting subject liaison librarians as they find systematic ways to contribute to campus initiatives related to student learning; collaborating with teaching faculty to develop course content; applying technology to teaching; outreach and campus engagement that expands connections and builds partnerships; and working in a team environment with a focus on continuously enhancing the user experience.
