RESPONSIBILITIES: The E-Learning Librarian will lead the formulation, production, and advancement of e-learning initiatives that support the Washington University in Saint Louis library patrons. As a member of the Instructional Support Services Department, the E-Learning Librarian will work with faculty, students and colleagues to develop, implement, and apply innovative multi-media and LMS based e-learning tools, resources, and services for integration with library related instructional needs. These activities include: assistance with strategies for the management of scholarly and personal digital assets, preparation of interactive tutorials and course modules, and the development of multimedia projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Master’s degree in library/information science, instructional design, media, instructional technology, or a related field; demonstrated ability to thrive and lead in a collaborative environment; demonstrated ability in web based tools, imaging and/or video software, bibliographic and presentation software and relevant emerging technologies; excellent interpersonal, communication , presentation and instructional skills. Preferred: Relevant experience in libraries, higher education, or learning management systems; ability to see technological possibilities in and outside of the library world and the vision to turn these possibilities into new library services.
