Eager to work in academic publishing? Keen to help spread the word about robust digital technologies? Curious about how libraries and academic presses collaborate in the brave new world of scholarly communications? This position provides an opportunity for an innovative and service-oriented individual to join dynamic team of programmers and analysts in CDL's eScholarship Publishing Group. Reporting to the Director of Publishing Services and serving as the official spokesperson for the eScholarship suite of services, the Outreach and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting use of the eScholarship Repository and other CDL publishing platforms among UC faculty and researchers at various campus locations. The Coordinator will lead market research and needs assessment efforts to enhance existing publishing services and develop new CDL publishing support services, and will collaborate with UC faculty, researchers, academic department staff and librarians to promote CDL's publishing and discovery tools to UC's academic community.
The eScholarship Publishing Group at the California Digital Library is home to the University’s eScholarship program - a strategic publishing initiative that promotes innovation in scholarly communication by developing and supporting low-cost distribution services and new publishing models for academic publications across the UC system and beyond.
