Coordinator of College Liaisons

This position will develop and implement effective user- and college-centered research assistance, instruction, and outreach services for faculty and students and provide leadership and supervision of up to 12 FTE faculty and 1-2 FTE state classified staff who are the primary liaison for the teaching and research components of the University. The College Liaisons group was reorganized in early fall of 2007 to meet changing roles of academic libraries. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Scholarly Communications, the responsibilities of this new position include management of faculty and staff; assessment and evaluation of services; collaboration with other library units and campus departments to promote digital repositories, market library services, provide collections and reference/research assistance, identify opportunities for innovative library partnerships and outreach, and promote campus awareness of scholarly communication issues. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for responsive user services, demonstrate successful supervision of staff and facilitation of group processes, and have abilities to work effectively in a changing and dynamic environment.
