Liaison Librarian to the Sciences



Grand Valley State University Libraries seek an energetic and collegial applicant for the position of liaison librarian to the sciences: Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Liaison librarians at GVSU provide library instruction, consultation services, collection management, and outreach to students and faculty in their assigned areas. Liaisons also contribute to the growth of a library-wide scholarly communications program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success, an understanding of the university's mission and the ability to work collaboratively and independently within a dynamic team-based organization.

GVSU librarians are full members of the university faculty. They must possess the potential to fulfill the requirements for promotion and tenure, and are expected to engage in scholarship and professional development, service to the institution and profession, and institutional governance.
