Libraries seeks an Acquisitions & Financial Services Team Leader, a
University Librarian III (UCP 9).
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Vice
Provost or a Program Area Director, the incumbent leads the Acquisitions &
Financial Services (AFS) Team, ensuring that acquisitions and financial
services operations and services are conducted efficiently and effectively. He/she coordinates ordering, receipt,
and payment functions; establishes library expectations for vendor performance
and methods to track vendor performance; and supervises all AFS Team members. Working in close collaboration with the
Electronic Resources Management Librarian, this position assists in the
documentation and management of the collections budget for electronic resources. The incumbent works with the Acquisitions
Librarian and other AFS Team members to oversee the Libraries budgets for
continuations, one-time collections expenses, and collections support expenses. The incumbent also works with the
Libraries’ Finance Director and other AFS Team members to oversee expenditures
related to compensation, commodities, contract, and equipment expenses. This position also oversees fund
accounting and end-of-fiscal-year closure in the libraries’ integrated library
system and internal library and accounting systems and reconciles expenditures
with the University’s financial accounting system. He/she coordinates the preparation of budget projections and
analyses as required or requested.

Appointment Terms: This is a full-time, permanent position. Salary is
