Reference/Education Librarian
Adelphi University seeks an Assistant Professor tenure track as a Reference/Education Librarian to be responsible for the reference desk service, collection development, management of the Library’s Curriculum Materials Center, participation in library instruction, and participation in other responsibilities shared by Library faculty. Applicants must hold a master’s degree from an ALA accredited school of library/information science. A second master’s or similar proof of advanced study is required for promotion to Associate Professor and tenure. Degree or coursework in the field of education is desirable. The successful candidate will also be expected to possess (a) experience in library instruction; (b) knowledge and experience with electronic resources; (c) excellent interpersonal and communication skills; (d) the ability to work effectively in a collegial environment, and (e) evidence of ability to meet criteria for promotion and tenure.
Work Year: 200 day work year as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
