Instructional Services Librarian/Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor (2 Positions)


University of Illinois Springfield Brookens Library
Basic Functions:
Working collaboratively with other faculty and staff in the Library Instructional Services Program and other Brookens Library units, enhances teaching and learning for the students, faculty and staff of the University of Illinois Springfield through the provision of reference, instruction, collection development, and other services to promote information literacy and lifelong learning.
Qualifications:
Minimum: Master’s degree in library science or equivalent from an ALA-accredited school and at least two years of experience in public service and instruction in an academic library.  Ability to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Experience with Web 2.0 best practices as applied to libraries.  Evidence of user-focused perspective.
Preferred:  Experience in online teaching and the development of online tutorials; background in the humanities or social sciences.
