Education Liaison Librarian

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Libraries invites applications for the position of Education Liaison Librarian. The position is responsible for direct outreach to the College of Education (CoE), including the departments of Teaching and Learning; Educational and Clinical Studies; and Educational Research, Cognition, and Development.

Reporting to the Director of Research and Education, responsibilities include: providing discipline-based research and technology assistance through individual and small group consultations and online user support; creating programs and services for UNLV’s education community that will advance the research enterprise and foster a climate of scholarly inquiry and student achievement; teaching curriculum-integrated instructional sessions at all degree levels; collaborating with teaching faculty to develop course content; participating in assessing student learning; creating online tools and user guides; helping to shape new directions for development and access to education collections; and working in a team environment with a focus on continuously enhancing the user experience. In collaboration with Curriculum Materials Library staff, the incumbent will be expected to contribute significantly to the planning, development, provision, and assessment of a cohesive program of library services, collections, and strategic information literacy initiatives for the CoE as well as to strategies for outreach to the Clark County School District, the fifth largest school district in the United States.
