Director of Technical Services

The UNLV Libraries seeks an innovative and future-oriented library leader to become the Director of Technical Services, a division of the Libraries comprised of two departments: Materials Ordering and Receiving (MOR) and Bibliographic and Metadata Services (BMS). The Director will manage and supervise the interdepartmental work processes for the acquisition, licensing, description, classification, and maintenance of library collections of all types and in all formats. This senior management position will lead library-wide discussions on evolving developments related to Technical Services, such as discovery and access tools, integrated library systems, acquisition and cataloging of materials, and electronic resources management. The incumbent will work closely with the Head of Collection Development and other library colleagues in managing and tracking the collections budget and overseeing related data collection.
