Serials & Electronic Resources Librarian

Loyola Marymount University seeks a Serials and Electronic Resources Librarian (SERL). This position is responsible for the selection and renewal of electronic resources. The SERL assumes a lead role in ensuring consistent and integrated access to electronic and other continuing resources, through the management of acquisition and ongoing support processes for such materials.

We seek candidates who typically possess a Master’s degree in library science from an A.L.A. accredited program. Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience is required. We prefer at least one (1) year of that experience will have been related to electronic resources management working on serials acquisitions, cataloging, interlibrary loan, integrated library systems, and collection development functions. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform detailed work accurately and quickly, and have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based organization.
