The Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries invites applications and nominations for the position of Director, Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences and Associate University Librarian, VCU Libraries. The VCU Libraries seeks a creative, energetic, and experienced leader to direct Virginia’s largest library devoted to the health and life sciences. The successful candidate will develop, oversee, and advance library services, collections, and staff in support of comprehensive health sciences programs, including research, clinical operations, and community engagement, on VCU’s MCV Campus. As part of the VCU Libraries senior administrative team, the incumbent will have broad participation in all aspects of operating and growing a major research university library. The successful candidate will join a culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. Requires ALA-accredited graduate or equivalent accredited degree in a relevant academic discipline, and at least 5 years experience in increasingly responsible administrative and management positions in a health sciences environment.
