Clemson University seeks an energetic, creative, and service-oriented librarian who will coordinate the library’s instruction program, develop innovative and effective approaches to teaching, and apply new technologies to enhance the learning experiences of our students. This librarian will also serve as the liaison to the students, faculty, and staff of the Eugene T. Moore School of Education. This is a 12-month, tenure-track position with faculty rank.
Requirements: ALA-accredited graduate degree; a minimum of two years' experience providing instruction, and a minimum of two years' experience providing reference services.
Preferred Qualifications: instructional design experience; familiarity with Library 2.0 and information utilities such as social networking and multimedia; educational background in the social sciences; knowledge of current collection development practices; knowledge of electronic databases and internet searching; ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff; evidence of ability to do self-directed work without close supervision; excellent oral/written communication skills; strong commitment to client-centered service; evidence of ability to do professional/scholarly activity.
Salary: minimum $40,000; rank and competitive salary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
