Director Of Scholarly Resources And Collection Services

Western Washington University Libraries seeks an innovative, forward-looking, and effective leader to serve in the newly developed position of Director of Scholarly Resources and Collection Services.  The successful candidate for this position will have a clear vision of the changing landscape of library collections and scholarly communication, and will be committed to leadership in a collaborative and participatory environment.  

The Director of Scholarly Resources and Collection Services has responsibility for leading and administering collection development and collection services, and overseeing scholarly communications at the Western Washington University Libraries. In this highly visible position, the Director provides leadership for the selection and management of collections, including oversight for the resource access budget, cataloging, acquisitions, ILL, circulation, and scholarly communication.   Drawing from the expertise and support of faculty and staff throughout the organization, the Director supervises the Institutional Repository and open access publishing.
