Services/ Instructional Services Librarian (Clinical Assistant or Associate
Professor)

Functions:
Working
collaboratively with other Brookens Library faculty and staff, plans, manages
and delivers excellent services in the library’s learning spaces,
reference/information spaces and Access Services unit. Serves as a liaison to assigned
departments, providing instructional and collection development services. Manages student engagement initiatives,
including outreach to high school groups.
Works with other instructional services librarians to promote
information literacy and lifelong learning.
Qualifications:
Minimum: Master’s degree in Library Science or
equivalent from an ALA-accredited school and at least three years of public
service and instructional experience in an academic library. Experience in managing library learning
spaces, including planning for and implementing technology upgrades. Knowledge of circulation and interlibrary
loan best practices. Knowledge of
Web 2.0 best practices as applied to libraries. Ability to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative
environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Evidence of user-focused
perspective.
Preferred: Experience in student outreach and
engagement initiatives; public services supervisory or management experience;
experience in enhancing the library’s web presence.
