Project Archivist (One-Year, Non-Renewable Appointment), Tompkins-McCaw Library, VCU Libraries
The Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries invites applications and nominations for a one-year, non-renewable appointment to the position of Project Archivist at the Tompkins-McCaw Library. The VCU Libraries seeks an energetic, knowledgeable, and technologically capable individual who will support the teaching, research, and user-support missions of the VCU Libraries on the MCV Campus. The successful candidate will join a culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. An accredited graduate degree in an appropriate discipline (Librarianship, History, Archives Management, or related area) is required. The Project Archivist will be responsible for enhancing the visibility of manuscript and archival collections related to the history of the health sciences.
Salary: Not less than $45,000 annually. Review of applications will begin September 6, 2010, and will continue until the position is filled.
