With a $7 million operating budget, 160 employees, facilities in Bloomington and Ellettsville, and a strong outreach program, the Library provides the full range of library services, plus an award-winning literacy program and a five-channel community television network.
The Associate Director is responsible for the Library’s public service strategy and serves as a member of the administrative team; provides leadership and support for the managers of Adult and Teen Services, Children’s Services, Circulation, Collection Services, Community Outreach, Ellettsville Branch, Facilities, and Information Services; evaluates library and customer feedback to support collaborative, data-based decision making; coordinates committees and teams in process improvements; and represents the Library in the community.
The position requires an ALA MLS and seven years of progressively increasing responsibility. Salary $62,400 and up. To be included in initial review of applications, submit your credentials by 5 p.m., April 4, 2012.
