St. Louis Public Library has an opening for a Librarian. Candidates must have an MLS from an ALA accredited school, an undergraduate degree in the sciences and/or demonstrated knowledge and background in the subject. The person filling this position will be responsible for expert reference/research assistance in the department, collection development in the designated subject area as well as programming, program planning and community outreach as determined by the supervisor. Must have excellent communication skills and computer skills as well as a commitment to public services. Will be expected to contribute to the successful re-opening of Central Library and to continue to maintain the Library’s high profile in the community and area for succeeding years.
