The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library (http://www.ulib.iupui.edu) seeks creative, energetic, and service oriented individuals to fill the following four tenure track librarian positions:

Digital Scholarship and Data Management Librarian

Under the direction of the Digital Libraries Team Leader the Digital Scholarship and Data Management Librarian will be primarily responsible for enhancing University Library’s Program of Digital Scholarship through the development of a robust data service plan.  The individual will also assist with the continued support of IUPUI University Library’s current digital scholarship tools and services including the institutional repository and journal publishing system.  This librarian will have the following duties:

·         Develop and support a robust data service plan in direct support of research faculty on campus
·         Assist with the daily operations of digital scholarship tools and services
·         Collaborate with liaison librarians to develop faculty involvement with the library’s Program of Digital Scholarship
·         Other duties as assigned

Economics or Communication Studies Liaison Librarian

The Economics or Communication Studies Liaison Librarian will serve as librarian liaison to the IUPUI Department of Communication Studies or the IUPUI Department of Economics.  Additional liaison responsibilities are possible as needed by the team.  This librarian is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the faculty and students of the department.  Responsibilities include the design and presentation of instructional materials, developing the library’s collection of discipline-related materials, and providing research assistance to students, faculty, and staff.  Important to this position is an understanding of how digital tools are changing scholarly communication and a commitment to active involvement in supporting faculty scholarly communication needs.

Business Liaison Librarian

The Business Liaison Librarian will serve as librarian liaison to the Kelley School of Business on the IUPUI campus.  Additional liaison responsibilities are possible as needed by the team.  This librarian is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the faculty and students of the department.  Responsibilities include the design and presentation of instructional materials, developing the library’s collection of discipline-related materials, and providing research assistance to students, faculty, and staff.  Important to this position is an understanding of how digital tools are changing scholarly communication and a commitment to active involvement in supporting faculty scholarly communication needs.

English Liaison Librarian/Liberal Arts Team Leader

The English Liaison Librarian/Liberal Arts Team Leader is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the faculty and students of the department.  Responsibilities include the design and presentation of instructional materials, developing the library’s collection of discipline-related materials, and providing research assistance to students, faculty, and staff.  Important to this position is an understanding of how digital tools are changing scholarly communication and a commitment to active involvement in supporting faculty scholarly communication needs.

The successful candidate will also be offered an administrative appointment as leader of the library’s Liberal Arts team.  The Liberal Arts team leader manages the serials budget in support of the School of Liberal Arts.  The successful candidate will provide supervision and professional guidance to members of the Liberal Arts team and it is expected that this person will play a leadership role and have the ability to manage tenure-track librarians.  The successful candidate will also help facilitate the integration of subject liaisons’ active involvement in supporting faculty scholarly communication needs.  The Liberal Arts team leader reports to the Associate Dean for Teaching, Learning, and Research.
