Job Description
Clemson University seeks a dynamic and creative Librarian who will provide information services in the health sciences, which may include nursing, food science and nutrition, and packaging science. This person will also work with other reference librarians to provide general reference desk service and freshman instruction.

Required Qualifications/Experience: 1. ALA-accredited master’s degree; 2. A minimum of two years experience in academic librarianship; 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills; 4. Teaching experience; 5. Proficiency in searching electronic databases.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience: 1. Experience providing reference services in, or a degree in, the health or life sciences; 2. Knowledge of modern information service practices and collection development; 3. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff; 4. Evidence of ability to do self-directed work without close supervision; 5. Strong commitment to client-centered service; 6. Evidence of, or potential for, professional and/or scholarly activity.
