Digitial Projects Librarian

Loyola Marymount University seeks a creative, enthusiastic candidate for the position of Digital Projects Librarian. This librarian will be responsible for coordinating and managing digital library projects and working closely with staff throughout the library. The Digital Projects Librarian chairs the library’s Digital Projects Team and will have primary responsibility for building a comprehensive digital initiatives program. This position will shape LMU’s role in the digital library environment, leading our efforts in creation, preservation, and access to the library’s primary source digital content.

The ideal candidate must have broad knowledge of current trends in higher education, learning technologies, and digital library practices including rights management and preservation. The successful candidate will be a strong project manager demonstrating curiosity about new technologies, collaborative ability, and a strong desire to innovate. We seek candidates with typically a Master of Library Science from an ALA accredited institution and/or other related graduate. A minimum of one year digital project management experience preferred.
