$57,519-$83,402 annually DOQ

Position Description:
This position is for Spring 2009. Coordinate and provide reference service to library patrons, library instruction to individuals and classes, circulation, and periodical services to help ensure students academic success as well as provide them with lifelong information- finding skills.

Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution.

Desired Requirements:
*Experience working in an academic library or experience working in a community college library.
*Demonstrated understanding of information literacy concepts, trends, standards, and pedagogies.
*Experience planning, teaching and evaluating information literacy and library instruction.
*Demonstrated library reference experience using print and electronic tools with a diverse range of students, faculty and staff. *Effective interpersonal, oral, written and online communication skills.
*Strong computer knowledge and demonstrated skills and interest in using technology for library services.
*Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
*Evidence of public presentation and written communication skills.
*Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of students.
*Familiarity with Innovative Interfaces library system. Experience with instructional design.
